Tall Firs Productions is a Pacific Northwest-based media production company offering video production, animation, illustration, website design, photography, digital publicity, storyboarding, motion graphics, and more. We also offer media marketing and consulting, as well as helping businesses, organization, and artists set up beautiful websites to help further their brand online.

Who We Are

Vasant and Sarah Salcedo are a filmmaking and writing partnership. Together they own Tall Firs Productions: a media production boutique; as well as Tall Firs Cinema, their independent film studio. Their feature documentary, Promised Land, debuted in select theaters fall 2016. It won the award for Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking at the 10th Annual LA Skins Fest, and was an official selection for the 41st Annual American Indian Film Festival, Northwest Film Forum's 19th Annual Local Sightings Film Festival, the 12th Annual Ellensburg Film Festival, and the 5th Annual Social Justice Film Festival, among others. In addition to documentary, they produce, direct, write, and animate films and videos for non-profits; design graphics and websites; provide copywriting; photograph authors and artists; teach; and offer digital publicity and social media training.

Vasant Salcedo is an award-winning director, writer, cinematographer, and editor. Sarah Salcedo is an award-winning filmmaker, illustrator, and author. Her stories, essays, and poetry has been published in Uncharted Magazine, Hobart, Luna Station Quarterly, The Future Fire, Hypertext Magazine, and elsewhere. She was the 2022 Writer-in-Residence for Town Hall Seattle, and is an alum of the 2022 Tin House Winter and Summer Workshops.

Both have dual degrees in English Literature and Comparative Literature: Cinema Studies from University of Washington and have won grants for their work from 4Culture and Artists Trust.
